When I started blogging, I blogged under a set of pseudonymous initials: MPJ. After a while, I got tired of not having a real pseudonym; in part, I realized it was difficult to tell if MPJ was a man or a woman, and I wanted to make it clear that this is very much a woman's blog, a mama's blog, a wife's blog. So, I decided the "M" would stand for Mary and the "J" would stand for Jones, but I couldn't decide what what the "P" stood for.

But I'm pleased to inform you that The Junky's Wife has set me straight.

Let me first say that I love The Junky's Wife. I love her so much that I wanted my own equivalent "wife" name, a name that would allow two addict wife virtual buddies to have smoothly parallel names: The Junky's Wife and what? The Sex Addict's Wife? Nope. That's too clinical; it's not quite the coolly derogatory equivalent of "junky." Then I had it: The Pervert's Wife.

When I shared this with The Junky's Wife, she told me she knew now what that "P" in my pseudonym stood for:

Mary "Pervert's Wife" Jones

And lest you pity Mark for being labeled a pervert, know that he finds the whole thing wildly hilarious. Silly pervert!
