I'm teeming with ideas. I feel like my head is about to explode. And I want to share all of them with you RIGHT NOW!
But I am also planning two major solo trips (in which I fly long distances, leaving my husband in charge of house and children) in the next 4 weeks: one to my 20th high school reunion and one to a friend's wedding. I should note that I suck at traveling: I hate flying and I feel so uncomfortable off of my own turf that I have to ultra-plan each detail (something I am not good at and which stresses me out) in order to function.
And I have recently vowed to myself that I will start getting more sleep. I went to bed at 8 p.m. instead of midnight last Friday, and that Saturday was the most productive I have had in months. Go figure!
So, here is what you have to look forward to:
- Rental car woes, along with beautiful nostalgic little bits about my two favorite people to drive with, who (due to rental car woes) will be transporting me to and from the airport on an upcoming trip. All of this possibly interspersed with waxing poetic about my former home.
- Introduction to my dear high school friend Kelly and the college friends who were bridesmaids in my wedding. You need to know some of them before these trips, because I will see them and blog about them. And you need to know some of them to understand:
- Why I love Hillary Clinton.
- My brilliant idea for sharing anonymous pictures of the trips and my return home.
- My brilliant idea for a craft that I can make at home and sell on the Internet.
- My not so brilliant attempt to understand what was scaring my son the other day and sending him screaming into the bathroom.
- How frustrating it is to have people give you advice and how recovery has made me bad at giving it these days.
- How my husband shared his newfound recovery wisdom with a twice-divorced friend in a way that showed so much insight and compassion and understanding that it made me want to drop to the ground and kiss his feet. I'm not worthy!
- Aphra Behn is sending me five interview questions, which, knowing me, I will stretch into five posts over the next month. So, take your time Aphra Behn.
- Oh, wait... And God.
Of course, you'll have to stay tuned for the exciting details of the reunion and the wedding. I could probably blog for a year about either one!

Looks like I can look forward to some great reads.
What are we going to do when you are gone? Do you have a laptop? I don't want another withdrawal! Whaaaaa!
Peace,
Scout
I am so looking forward to reading your blog for the next ten years!!! Your excitement is contagious
