My Husband is Back (and So Am I)

Mark returned yesterday from his trip to visit his father. We are both exhausted in our own ways, but both glad that he was able to go back and spend the time. I am going to take a quick nap now, while the kids are in school. Dishes shall remain undone. Toys shall remain on the floor. Litter box shall remain unraked. And my half-finished blog post from last week will remain half-written. But I expect to have a "real" post up and ready in the next day or so.

Hey, you don't NEED to write like, every day. We'll keep coming back here nevertheless. Just take your time and do what feels best to you, there's no obligation in this. You blog, we read. It's a treat :)

Oh, I need to write for me. I started this blog with a commitment to myself to write everyday; you all are witness to my promise and your presence reminds me to keep it, but it's myself I'm responsible to. I am looking forward to writing and getting frustrated with balancing it with the need to do things like, oh, say, sleep...

    Take your time, MPJ.
I'm happy the husband is back!

I'm glad he's back, even though I suspect he will absorb all your attention and I'll have fewer late-night emails. He'd better watch it. I might get jealous and start slashing his electronic tires, too.

I'm sorry that things are so difficult for you and your family right now. I hope things get better soon.

Get plenty of sleep (important! I turn into a self-pitying bitch when I'm tired!) and blog when you can.

Make sure you rest and take care of yourself. I understand what it is like to hold down the 'fort' while your husband is gone...I was a single parent for much of Miss Sam's early years while my husband was off keeping our country free. It was rough.

    Naps are good!
I'll be right here waiting your next post.
    Love,
