Today’s Post Brought to You by the Letter J

A while back, Ingrid over at Boricua in Texas wrote a post about the letter P and offered to give out post-inspiring letters to all who asked. Well, I asked, and received from Ingrid the letter J. I think I was supposed to write about my favorite J words, but I decided instead to share my day in J.

J is for joy, which is what I feel today. I'm joyful that today is a day of celebration for our family (although I won't say exactly what it is we are celebrating), joyful that we're all still together, joyful that we're working and learning and growing and loving.

J is for my two blogging BFFs, Jay and Junky's Wife, whose blogs I check the moment I wake up, before I wake the kids or make breakfast or get dressed.

J is for justice, which thankfully was not meted out to me today by the cop driving behind me, who (I observed in my rear view mirror while stopped at a traffic light) removed his sunglasses and very carefully inspected the back of my car (which, I know, has a burnt out brake light), yet chose not to pull me over. Whew!

J is for jackass, which is what the driver of some delivery truck was today. I put on my turn signal to move out of a turn-only lane, preparing to move over into what was a safe and reasonable gap between the delivery truck and the car in front of it. The delivery truck saw my signal and sped up, tailgating the person in front of him and leaving less than a car's length between the two bumpers. I slowed down and got in behind the delivery truck, who immediately braked, slowed down and exited.

J is for junk food, which we eat lots of on special days like today, when we're celebrating and Mama isn't cooking.

J is for jam-packed with fun.

Nice J day. Hope the celebrations were FANTABULOUS.

Couldn't I have been Jantra, just for one day?

I feel happy for you. You are a heroin to me, what with your love, forgiveness and seemingly endless strength. And I think anyone who knows more than one language is the cat's meow!!! I wish I was 'mart like you!!

    You rock

    Neat post!

When I was in high school I used to say that everything I loved could be summed up using M words: Mom, music, movies, makeup, matlock, and muppets.

Don't worry, I've since broadened my horizons ;)

Since it's already a great J day, I find it hard to wish you Happy Day ... so I hope tomorrow and the days after are just as joyous for you!
