My first group writing project has ended, and what fun it has been! It has made me happy to read about each and every happy place. Now it's your turn. Read all of touching, evocative, sensual, memorable, joyful posts and make yourselves happy today:
- My Happy Place by Jay at Two Women Blogging, who was almost disqualified for calling the prompt "sappy," but was requalified after I read her post.
- Kathy's Happy Place by my real life friend (yes, I have those) Kathy, guest blogging here at A Room of Mama's Own.
- Happy Happy. Joy Joy. by Shawn at Letters to my Daughters, who was the inspiration for the group writing project.
- My Happiest Place by Mama at The Elmo Wallpaper.
- My Happy Place by Sunny at Sunny's Place.
- My Happy Place(s) by Megan at The Bourgeois Life.
- My Happy Places by Bella at Beyond the Map.
Finally, The Junky's Wife reminded me that she had already written about her happy place. Now because this is not a new post, it doesn't strictly fit within the rules, but whatever. Her husband's relapsing, it's my game and besides, this is one of my very favorite posts ever. So, for a little bonus, classic, rerun happiness, I give you: The Lesbian Llama Farm of Destiny by The Junky's Wife.
And hey, e, where's that happy place post you promised after I psychically connected with you and picked the perfect topic? I am publicly shaming you and giving you an extension. Go!
Wasn't that fun? Don't you all (even e, who has been publicly humiliated for not writing) feel happier now? Aren't you all thinking of your own happy places? I am. And it's a good day for it!
Thank you all so much for participating. I'm going to do this again. And I think the next group writing project will include prizes, to make it even happier!

Glad you enjoyed it ... prizes do help people smile. : )
STOP READING MY MIND!!!! lol
i have been so busy that i wasn't able to find time, and then completely lost track of the date. i was just thinking this afternoon that i missed it; i go check your site and there you are shaming me.
ok, i'll get started on it....
I missed the deadline.
Thank you!
This was so cool. I loved reading the different approaches to the 'happy place.' For some it was an actual place (or places), for another it was a place on a person, for another it was feelings: moments of happiness. I love how a simple direction - write about your happy place - can have so many interpretations. This was great fun Mary!
Thanks for the fun.
Now I'm off to read about happy places. what a way to spend an hour!
Geez, and I was just about to play.
Love you woman,
Scout
hehehe........ wonder twin got OUTED! For shame Wonder twin! Shall I send Gleek over to help her? hehe
There's still time to play folks. I've got three folks who have either written or are intending to write posts on their happy places. I'll post a second round next week. Scouter, will I see you there?
Okay Ms Mary- I wrote my happy place, and now I feel all naked and stuff. I'm all hang'n out there. All geeky and stuff.
You better grab it before I delete it
I just wrote about my happy place this morning...
