I know what you're thinking. You are looking at my room redesign and thinking: your blog suddenly looks fabulous! Where did you get such a totally kick-ass professional banner? Did you do that yourself? The answer is a resounding: NO, I did not do that myself! I know this about myself. I can write, it's true. I can even code a bit. (Doing the technical work to turn two columns into three, totally me.) But I can't do graphic design to save my life. I really wish I could, but I can't. You've seen the evidence of that here in my past banner designs. Lame!
And yet, look at that banner, with its cool swish. Look at the faux me (no, sorry, that's not me; it's an actress playing the part of me), looking all artsy and intent and a little sexy and European typing away at my old school typewriter, the kind I used to use when I was playing writer as a girl, until I got too fast and kept making the keys stick together. (Those things were not designed for the speeds at which modern humans can type. They were made to make you think about each sentence, each word, each letter, and to be very careful not to make mistakes, because white-out hadn't been invented yet.)
But I'll tell you who did do it: the very talented Strumpfkunst! So, if you're terribly jealous, which (come on!) I know you are, you can visit her Etsy shop and order one up yourself. Starting at $14, can you really afford not to get one? She also makes adorable sock monkeys and other stuffed creatures. I got one for my niece when she was born, because what baby couldn't use one of these sock monkeys? They're too cute!

Beautiful redecoration, Mama. It's perfect. All variations of purple and pink are my favorites. So this is very easy on my eyes.
