Ask Me (Almost) Anything

Ok, this is too fun: for her birthday, Danielle celebrated by having her readers ask her any questions they wanted. I thought the questions (from "flannel or silk?" to "what's the recipe for your favorite dinner?") and her answers were a great way to get to know her better.

While it's not my birthday, I love few things more than stealing a good idea, especially during the "I don't have 15 seconds alone to blog" days of summer. So, go for it. Ask me anything, silly or serious. Obviously I won't answer questions that compromise my anonymity -- like "What is your real name?" or "Where does your husband work?" or "Where might your kids be now should we theoretically wish to abduct them?" -- but anything else is fair game. I'll post the answers next week.

If you could have named yourself any name - when you were younger (first name) what would it have been?

Where's the Friday haiku? Seriously, that's my question.

So, any opinion on John Edwards?

Yes, I'm asking two questions now. You didn't mention a limit.

  10. Mary P Jones (MPJ) says:

Ha, Marta! Yes. No limits. Ask away. :)

  11. Shawn says:

    Why the name MPJ?

I also want to know your thoughts on Edwards' affair news. But, as a side on that, is there ever a time when a guy cheats and he's just a fucking ass hole, not an addict, in your opinion? : )

I might have another one or two but toddler tantrum ensues ...

I recall an amazing Haiku a while back when the democratic primaries were going on. You talked about how Obama is handsome but you couldn't vote for him because he has a penis (if I recall incorrectly, sorry). So what now? Looks like we're going to get to choose between a young penis-possessing person and an old one. I oversimplify, but you get the drift... Assuming we get Obama at the convention, will you actively support him in the way you supported Hillary?

And while we are on the subject, how do you write such amazing Haikus? OK - I figure that one will be hard to answer - don't feel obligated.

Please answer this one even though it isn't about YOU particularly - why do the Haikus have to be on Friday? There seems to be an unwritten rule that you have to do it then (I'm showing my blog immaturity here). I usually have so much trouble getting to them on Fridays. I mean, why not Haiku Tuesday? Or Sunday? Or any other day? Not one to be boxed in but one who finds traditions meaningful, I'm just trying to understand where this came from.

FINALLY - one to answer before next week... When is the deadline for questions (if ever)?

  13. Mary P Jones (MPJ) says:

Sisyphesse, I think I'm going to post answers on Tuesday, so in a way I guess Monday is the deadline. But in another way there is no real deadline, because I'll still answer questions I receive after I post. As a procrastinator, I hate to penalize other procrastinators. We folks who hand stuff in late mean well. ;)

This probably has been answered before, but who's the lady with the typewriter?
