It has taken me a long time and I still mess up sometimes. However, I find it much easier to say no rather than to arrive at the day or whatever and go through wanting to cancel, run or hide because of whatever I said yes to. My husband is getting better at saying no...I just keep telling him that I'm more important than everybody else and therefore should only say yes to me!!! I have been learning and tweaking myself over the years. It's imp to say NO, for your own self and for your own growth.
