Just this week my #1 had an awful day, on top of it being the end of the term and having many tests, etc, to finish. He was crying at bedtime (unusual) so I laid down with him. A little back rubbing and snuggling was just what the dr. ordered. For him, quiet and spooning into mom is the right lullaby.

What a brilliant lullaby! I used to recite movie lines for Rocky, and I wish I'd thought to write them down like you. Rocky would be nodding off until I'd recite a line incorrectly and then he'd be wide awake again, agitated by my mistake and angrily correcting me for saying "and" instead of "or". You and Mark sound like a great team. I am in awe of that.
